Tommy Atkins
The most commercially grown variety coming into the United States.
- Born: 1920´s in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Skin: thick, dark red tone with orange to yellow accents.
- Seed: small.
- Shape: medium to large with oval shape.
- Flavor: mildly sweet with firm, stringy and fibrous flesh.
- Season: from March to July and from October to January and is grown in Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.

Keitt
This is the best all-around late mango. It is very productive, good-flavored, excellent for shipping, and disease resistant.
- Born: Mexico and popular in Asian cultures.
- Skin: medium-thick, green-yellow with light-red blush.
- Seed: small, or medium to large.
- Shape: large oval.
- Flavor: sweet.
- Season: long and late season. Late July, and the smallest fruit can be left on the tree as late as November.

Kent
Considered by many to be one of the best tasting Florida mangoes for its rich taste, tender flesh and limited fibers.
- Born: 1940´s in Coconut Grove, Florida from Haden seed.
- Skin: dark green with yellow and dark red blush.
- Seed: small.
- Shape: very large oval.
- Flavor: juicy and sweet.
- Season: January to March and June to August, is largely produced in Mexico, Ecuador and Peru.

Honeys
It is perfect for eating out of hand, for slicing and for dehydrating. If you like your mango smooth and creamy, which also touts no fibers, is for you.
- Born: in Mexico.
- Skin: canary yellow and smooth.
- Seed: very small.
- Shape: small oval.
- Flavor: sweet and creamy.
- Season: primarily grown in Mexico from March to July.

Haden
If you like firm textures in your mango and fine fibers, the Haden is for you.
- Born: 1910´s in South Florida.
- Skin: yellow, green, red highlights and small white dots.

- Flavor: sweet and little fiber.
- Season: April and May primary in Mexico.
